Sunday evening I went down to King’s Park with my Dad to take some photos of the Perth Skyline. Amazingly, this was the first time I’d been to this spot to shoot, and I really loved it! The clouds were looking really perfect and we thought the sunset would be really nice. Unfortunately by the time sunset came around, the clouds were moving quite fast and they had almost all blown past the skyline! This shot I got around 30 minutes before sunset and I really like it – my first Perth Skyline panorama. I know I’ll be back to this spot, but maybe not on a Sunday evening – it was so crowded!
A couple of weeks ago Phil Back took me out to his secret spot to show me how to shoot some film on an old Hasselblad. We had some amazing light and so I took some on film and then got the Canon out. This is a single image with very minimal processing which I am quite happy about. A couple more shots should be up online soon including panoramas and a black and white image.

Here it is, probably my favourite image from Hawaii. We witnessed some amazing light on our final night on the North Shore. This little place called Shark’s Cove was fantastic. Our accomodation was over the road which was great! The swell was so big and at times I was a bit worried that I’d get soaked! I took quite a few shots, all with very minimal post processing which I was delighted about. I will post the others at a later date. Hope you like it! Let me now what you think!

Last week I decided to head down to Matilda Bay for sunrise. I totally mis-read the sunrise/sunset times which meant I arrived aroun 5:00AM for a 7AM sunrise. As I sat there on a bench playing Angry Birds, I decided to walk around and look for a good shot. After taking a shot of the boats (which I will post at a later date), I then took this image which I was quite pleased with as it is quite different to my usual photographs.

Hope you like it, let me know what you think!

Located on the south shore of Honolulu, the world-famous neighborhood of Waikiki was once a playground for Hawaiian royalty. Known in Hawaiian as “spouting waters,” Waikiki was introduced to the world when its first hotel, the Moana Surfrider, was built on its shores in 1901. Today, Waikiki is Oahu’s main hotel and resort area and a vibrant gathering place for visitors from around the world. Along the main strip of Kalakaua Avenue you’ll find world-class shopping, dining, entertainment, activities and resorts.

Best of all, Waikiki is within a half hour of a variety of Oahu attractions, including Pearl Harbor, Iolani Palace, the Nuuanu Pali Lookout and Hanauma Bay. Other notable points of interest nearby include Ala Moana Center, the local neighborhood of Kapahulu and the arts district of Chinatown.
