Crawley Boat Shed

Here is my first photo of the very popular Crawley boatshed on Mounts Bay Road with my new camera. I’ve seen a lot of really amazing pictures of this shed but I was determined to capture it from a different view. I’ve never really chosen a square crop as I believe it’s quite difficult to compose but I really like how it works with this shot. I tried some different processing techniques which I think works well with the black and white conversion. This photo reminds me of something you’d see in a horror movie! Hope you like it.

Absolutely loving the new 5D Mark III camera. It’s the first time I’ve picked up a full frame camera and I’m really enjoying it. After witnessing a spectacular sunrise I moved on to this spot and really liked the boats together with the calm water. This is another 5 image panoramic stitch with the Zeiss 50mm. More photos to come.

Canon 5D Mark III with Zeiss 50mm f/2.0, 0.6sec, f/14, ISO 50 5 Image Stitch

Picked up my new 5D Mark III on Friday and was so excited to take it out for a shoot today. I was very impressed with the resolution and how it go hand in hand with the clarity from the Zeiss lens. Still trying to get my head around the upgraded AF system and different button layout but hopefully I’ll pick it up soon. Here is a 5 image panoramic stitch with some single frame images to come shortly.

Canon 7D with 24-70mm f/2.8 @ 42mm 13sec, f/18, ISO 100 5 Image Stitch

Decided to head down to Mosman Bay to catch Saturday nights sunset which was amazing! Struggled to get a nice crop with the Zeiss so I used the trusty 24-70. It was a really nice night, not too hot and no wind at all. Walked off with this 5 image stitch and a couple more so stay tuned.

Here is another shot from where we had 3 nights in South Carolina in 2011. I remember this morning being quite cold, as you can see, the golf course is dead and the lake in the foreground is frozen! I had a great time at this place and hope to visit my family there in the near future.

Canon 7D with Zeiss 50mm f/2.0, 1/50sec, f/11, ISO 100 4 Image Stitch

I recieved my new Zeiss 50mm f/2.0 lens yesterday and decided to go test it out straight away! This is a new angle of Matilda Bay which I plan to revisit for sunrise sometime soon. Already I am so impressed with the sharpness of this lens and it’s wonderful build. Haven’t recieved my Lee adapter ring yet so I was hand holding my filters! Hope you like it.
